Paint Touch Ups
- RUST-OLEUM (Textured) 7220 BLACK – fine textured finish indoor/outdoor
- Best for small areas where the initial application of powder coat is thin or for matching color/sheen on top of powder coat
- General Instructions: Spray small amount into a cup. Use a cotton swab for application. It is best to use a slightly damp swab so that small fuzzies of cotton don’t end up in the paint. Squeeze any remaining water from the swab before dipping in paint. Then stamp gently. Once paint is dry (roughly 15-20 min), use a microfiber cloth to polish the area.
- Paint Pen: Crosslink Paints

- Best for deep gashes in paint or areas of high use – group head or base plate. NOTE: when repairing deep gashes in paint, it is best to apply multiple thin layers of paint and give adequate time for the paint to cool between each application. If cooling time is not allotted, you increase the chance of burning paint or having the paint peel.
- General Instructions: We heat our heat gun between 400-500, but we provide 15-20 minutes of cooling time between layers – especially for white because if the gun is held too close or heat is applied unevenly it can cause the paint to bubble, peel, or turn brown. We do not recommend holding the heat gun any closer than 2-3 inches from the surface. You may want to consider using a very small square of sandpaper between layers to even the surface area for application depending on how deep the gash is. However, it is important to be mindful of surrounding areas and pressure applied when sanding to not remove desired paint or cause further aesthetic damage. Sandpaper should not be used as a last step or when the paint is cooling. It will change sheen and texture. If you choose to use sandpaper on powder coat, the powder coat should be completely cool.
