Temperature Knob Repair
These instructions and videos will help you replace the temperature knob aka potentiometer on your Argos.
⚠️ Important: Before beginning this repair:
- Unplug your Argos from power.
- Allow the machine to fully cool.
Tools & Parts Needed
- Pin removal tool (supplied with repair parts)
- Replacement potentiometer
- 1.5mm hex key to loosen the grub screw on the temperature knob
- 3mm hex key to remove the side panels
- Optional: Plastic spudger or guitar pick to more easily remove wooden side panels

⚠️ Note: You do not need to cut the wires as shown in his video. Disconnecting them will suffice.
Ross' video will guide you through where the relevant screws are. You do not need to cut the wires like Ross does in the video.

Tips on disconnecting pins at the 18-pin connector
- On the connector, locate a small space at the top-right of each hole (note that each slot is not a perfect square but instead has a little cutout at the top-right).
- Insert the pin removal tool into this space, sliding it above the locking tab on the pin.
- This depresses the locking tab on the pin, allowing you to gently pull the wire out with little force.
