Bleed Valve Function - A Deeper Dive into the Air Bleed

NOTE: You do not need to pause the lever halfway if boiler pressure is below 1.5 bar

Keeping the Bleed Valve Clean

As a minimum, we recommend flushing the grouphead after every shot plus doing the little wiggle to fully clear out any water that sits above the shower screen.


To truly minimise the risk of clogging the bleed valve, using the supplied puck screen and placing it above the puck is a great way to reduce the amount of coffee debris that might float up into the bleed valve.
