Low Pre-Infusion Pressure

The Argos’s temperature control algorithm lowers boiler temperature as the grouphead warms, ensuring the correct brew temperature reaches the brew chamber.

When pulling multiple shots in a row, this behavior can sometimes result in boiler pressure that is too low to fully saturate the puck without a Fellini maneouvre.

Solution:

  • Switch to Classic Mode. In this mode, the boiler will not drop below 114 °C, which typically ensures a minimum pre-infusion pressure of ~1.5 bar.

Note:

In our testing, Classic Mode does not significantly affect brew temperature accuracy - the brew water is usually only about +1 °C hotter.
